Welcome, Whitecaps! All first-time dual credit students are required to complete a New Student Orientation before registering for classes. The New Student Orientation is an important part of the enrollment process and is designed to help you succeed.
During the in-person New Student Orientation, you will:
- Learn about the many resources and support services available to help you be successful.
- Connect with faculty, staff, current students, and new students just like you.
- Familiarize yourself with the Galveston College campus.
When you attend an in-person New Student Orientation, you will receive free food and a swag bag!

- Where do I park?
Visitor parking is on the corner of Avenue Q and 39th Street (across the street from the lighthouse). There are closer parking lots; however, these require a parking permit.
- Where do I go once on campus?
The New Student Orientation will be in the Seibel Wing, the building closest to the lighthouse.
